(Re)discover the oldies but goodies of classic Hollywood! A monthly screening followed by discussion. Showtime is at 10:00am every third Thursday.

This month we’re watching Sullivan's Travels (1941), a comedy written and directed by Preston Sturges, starring Joel McCrea and Veronica Lake. The film follows a successful Hollywood director who sets out on a journey to experience life as a common man, hoping to create a meaningful film about the struggles of the downtrodden. Through a series of misadventures, he encounters the harsh realities of life while discovering the importance of laughter and escapism in the face of adversity. With its sharp wit and insightful reflections on the film industry, "Sullivan's Travels" remains a timeless classic that celebrates the power of comedy.
