This month we’re watching The Thin Man (1934), an American pre-Code comedy-mystery directed by W. S. Van Dyke and based on the 1934 novel by Dashiell Hammett. The film stars William Powell and Myrna Loy as former detective Nick Charles and his wealthy wife Nora, who investigate a murder case, mostly for the fun of it. The film was nominated for the Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Adaptation.
