Program Description

Event Details

Trees are a part of almost everyone's daily life, but did you know that you really live in a forest? Join Les Welker, Urban and Community Forestry Partnership Coordinator with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) as he shares the benefits that the trees all around us - the urban forest -  bring to our streets and neighborhoods. This presentation will discuss just what the urban forest is, and how trees work to make our towns more comfortable, resilient, and healthy places to live and work. Attendees will walk away knowing more about how to protect and enrich the forest closest to home!
