About the Author: Nohra Bernal (author) and Rubén Rodríguez Ferreira (illustrator) are artists from Colombia living in New Haven since 2009. They have three sons. Ruben is a musician and Director of the Music in Schools Initiative of the Yale School of Music, serving hundreds of families in the city through musical instruction. Nohra is a psychologist, teacher, and translator; she promotes bilingual literacy at the library.
