Event Details

Experience the 2000-year old art form of Bharatanatyam, an exquisite classical dance from southern India that traces its origins back to the Natyashastra, an ancient treatise on theatre written by the sage Bharata. Aishwarya Lakshmi Ratan will share a set of pieces using a workshop format, explaining the history and meaning behind the elements of the form and some of the featured narratives, before performing the choreographies.
