Beyond Intermission: Thriving in Your Third Act
4 sessions: Thursdays, Jan. 8, 15, 22 and 29 (snow date: Feb. 5) 2 to 4 p.m.
As each generation lives longer, more active lives— people in their 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond, who are thinking about retirement, are recently retired, or have been retired for decades— whether married, divorced, single or widowed—are finding themselves asking the same questions. How will I spend the next 20, 30 or even 40 years? How will I stay relevant and productive and discover or recover that which gives my life a sense of purpose and joy, rather than allowing older age to get the best of me?
In this popular workshop, Branford resident Amy J. Barry will implement creative visualizations, hands-on expressive art and writing exercises, current research findings, and group discussion and feedback to help participants get “unstuck” and move beyond “intermission” into a rich and rewarding “third act.”
Amy is a certified expressive arts facilitator, Hospice-trained bereavement counselor, award-winning journalist and columnist, published poet, and children’s book author.

Registration is required to attend this IN-PERSON event, as space is limited. Participants are expected to attend all four sessions.
