Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, a seascape of generative AIs has developed including Claude, Poe, MetaAI and a fleet of others. Connie Steel, PhD a member of the Yale Poorvu Center’s Artificial Intelligence Working Group, will present an overview of the current wave of generative artificial intelligence applications from the point of view of supporting students and lifetime learners. Her talk introduces questions about data security and ethics to ask when choosing AI applications.
