Back to Bacharach and Beyond by Christine and Elliot Spero is a show that will lovingly take you on a journey through Burt Bacharach's greatest songs with some surprises. Bacharach, who is considered one of the most important composers of 20th-century popular music, has composed hundreds of pop songs from the late 1950s through the 1980s, mostly in collaboration with lyricist Hal David. Known for such hits as Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head, I Say a Little Prayer, and What The World Needs Now, he also collaborated with singers like Perry Como, The Shirelles, Dionne Warwick, Neil Diamond, and Rod Stewart.
A six-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Academy Award winner, Bacharach's songs have been recorded by more than 1,000 different artists. He has written 73 US and 52 UK Top 40 hits. In 2015, Rolling Stone ranked Bacharach and David at number 32 for their list of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time
Registration is required to attend this IN PERSON event.
