About the Artist:

Jessica Hughes is an artist and art educator living and working in Connecticut. She attended Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA, earning her BFA in painting and her initial license to teach art in 2007. She continued her education at Salem State University in Salem, MA, where she earned her MAT in Art Education. Her art has been shown in galleries in Boston, Salem, New York City, Connecticut, Vermont, and most recently, North Carolina. In addition to painting, Jessica is a writer who has published a handful of short stories, poems, and online articles. Her most recent writing achievement included Whatever Happened to Hansel and Gretel: An Anthology, named a Finalist in the 2024 Best Books Awards in the category of Fiction: Anthology.
